"I am passionate about stone. The beauty, the longevity, the permanence.

It's known as an ancient construction material but also used in contemporary architecture, exteriors and interiors, ornate to the sublimely simple. I want to push the boundaries of stone and challenge what it’s perceived to be. 

The magical aspect of stone is that it’s millions of years old. Created from small living organisms, layers of sediment or magma which has over time formed into stone by heat and pressure. I am a pin prick in its existence but I have the opportunity to show off its ageless beauty. I wanted to use a simple object like a spoon and create it in stone to show and prove that anything is possible using this wonderful material.”
