No.6

Show No.6 brings together a new collection of artists to Morgans, with an emphasis on colour and mark making with a blend of screen printing, mixed media and textile works alongside a rich body of paintings. 

Several of the artists have recently graduated from a Fine Art Degree at Falmouth, with some exhibiting their work for the first time. 

We are also excited to introduce a few established painters to Morgans - Rosa Roberts suggests still life setups in her mixed media pieces, deep in colour and form. Saul Cathcart’s expressive mark making and brushwork references the sense of freedom and space he finds within the Cornish landscape while Boo Mallinson’s soft colours and gestural marks arise from time spent along the coastal path, simplifying her visual encounter with the landscape.

Wendy Wilbraham is our new ceramicist for Show No.6, exhibiting a collection of wheel thrown functional tableware in our courtyard space, casting distinctive silhouettes with contrasting mono-tone glazes. Wendy’s choice of porcelain clay elevates her concept of the everyday.
