EXHIBITION No.3
No. 3
22nd June - 3rd August 2024
Open Mon-Sat, 10-5pm
As we approach summery days, we introduce Show No.3 to Morgans - a collection of paintings, tableware and sculptural forms.
Working along the Helford, close to the gallery, Maxine Hart shows a series of 25 paintings capturing the warm pinks and rich palettes found within the landscape, often painted plein air. Also depicting local scenes is the work of Holly Razavi whose illustrative pantings capture moments along the coast, full of joy and optimism. Ali Bassett also returns to Morgans with four artworks, full of texture and movement, which explore ideas surrounding folktales, morals, overheard stories and old wives’ tales. Philips Lyons showcases a series of still life paintings, delicately capturing moments in the home alongside studies of the landscape. New to Morgans for Show No.3 is the work by Jack Paffett, whose abstract paintings incorporate references to his surroundings, filled with colour and form.
Besides the collection of paintings, new tableware and sculptural forms by Jan O’Neill in soft neutral tones will line the tables, alongside vibrant vessels by Katie Moore, hand painted in bright, summery hues. Finally, we introduce Daniel Miles to the gallery whose sculptural forms take inspiration from the natural world whilst exploring an interplay between material and form. Mainly working in stone and wood, his sculptural forms vary from small table sized pieces to impressive freestanding works.
